Cedric The Entertainer lived up to every syllable of his name last month at The Coral Springs Center For The Performing Arts. The Original King of Comedy arrived with decades of credibility behind him and spent the better part of two hours reminding a packed house exactly why his reputation never faded. His set moved effortlessly between sharp observational riffs, slow-burn storytelling, and the kind of big, room-filling physicality that screen comedians rarely bring to a stage. He was unhurried and utterly confident, letting punchlines breathe rather than chasing applause. Whether drawing on his Missouri roots, his long Hollywood career, or the universal absurdities of everyday Black American life, Cedric connected with the crowd on every frequency. Coral Springs showed up, and Cedric The Entertainer delivered exactly what the name promised.
