By Joanie Cox Henry

Grab a chair, round up your friends and get ready for a night of feel-good reggae. The City of Boca Raton's free Summer in the City concert series continues this Friday, July 17, with Yvad & The Legal Roots: A Tribute to Bob Marley at Mizner Park Amphitheater. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show kicking off at 8.
Yvad & The Legal Roots have built a reputation across South Florida for nailing the sound, spirit and energy of Bob Marley, and Friday's set promises a run through the icon's most beloved hits in a family-friendly, under-the-stars setting.
The tribute is one stop in a summer packed with free programming in the heart of Downtown Boca. Still to come: a patriotic outdoor movie night honoring America's 250th, a nod to the Woodstock era, and the return of the city's popular Battle of the Bands.
Remaining Summer in the City lineup:
Friday, July 17 — Yvad & The Legal Roots: A Tribute to Bob Marley. Doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m.
Friday, July 24 — A surprise feature: a blockbuster musical film celebrating the rise of one of America's most talked-about founding fathers. Doors 7 p.m., film 8 p.m.
Friday, July 31 — Peace of Woodstock Band: A Tribute to the Woodstock Era. Doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m.
