I spent Mother's Day shaking my Moneymaker at the Fitz and the Tantrums show at Revolution Live in downtown Fort Lauderdale!

Navigating my way through the crowd to the barricade, I found a spot and posted up.

The band took the stage full tilt, opening with 2022's "Sway," a summer vibes track perfect for the South Florida audience.

The band is on tour to promote their upcoming album Man on the Moon, which is coming out July 25th. They indulged the audience with new tracks "Ruin the Night," as well as the title track.

Fitz and the Tantrums' upbeat, shimmery tunes filled the room: from radio hits like 2013's "Out of My League" to the more recent "Livin' For the Weekend."

James King really held it down on stage left as the soulful saxophone backbone, occasionally throwing in some percussion.

Noelle Scaggs, the "boss lady of the band," gave an incredible performance throughout the entire set. Her vocals and dance moves are a perfect complement to Michael "Fitz" Fitzpatrick. Their upbeat energy and chemistry shone as they playfully matched each other.

Noelle and Fitz did an excellent job of keeping the crowd engaged, encouraging them to count along during "123456," become backing vocals for "Moneymaker," and light up the space with or cell phones during "I Just Wanna Shine."

You can't help but find yourself grinning from ear to ear as the night goes on: I was smiling so much my face hurt by the time the band exploded into monster hit "Handclap" from 2017's self titled album.

Fitz mentioned at one point that they had been together as a band for 17 years.

To have their level of energy after all this time is no small feat. The unity and camaraderie onstage were fantastic to witness.

It was a joy to experience Fitz and the Tantrums live!
