Who Can It Be Now? Men at Work Kicked Off Summer Tour in Pompano Beach

Men at Work brought an irresistible wave of Australian nostalgia to the Pompano Beach Amphitheater on July 16, kicking off their summer U.S. tour in celebratory style.

Led by founding member Colin Hay, the Grammy-winning band sounded spirited and sharp as it revisited the songs that helped define the early ’80s. Hay’s distinctive voice, dry wit and effortless charisma remained at the heart of the performance, while his talented band gave the beloved material fresh energy.

Classics such as “Who Can It Be Now?,” “Overkill” and “Down Under” inspired enthusiastic singalongs, transforming the amphitheater into a joyful time machine. Toad the Wet Sprocket added another layer of melodic nostalgia to the evening, making the pairing especially satisfying.

More than four decades after Men at Work’s breakthrough, the songs still sounded clever, catchy and wonderfully alive. In Pompano Beach, Hay and company proved they were not merely working—they were working the crowd beautifully.
