Three decades after they owned the airwaves, Christopher Cross, Men at Work, and Toto proved Friday night at West Palm Beach's iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre that great songs don't age—they just get better with time.

Cross opened with nine songs of silk-smooth perfection, his voice still honeyed on "Sailing" and "Arthur's Theme." At 72, he's trading in nostalgia but delivering it with genuine warmth. "Ride Like the Wind" closed his set, complete with that iconic sax solo.

Men at Work's Colin Hay bounded onstage with infectious energy, mixing solo material with the band's new wave classics. "Overkill" built to a cathartic singalong, "Who Can It Be Now?" triggered mass euphoria, and "Down Under"—well, 15,000 voices joining that flute-driven anthem was pure magic. Hay's playful stage presence proved that national pride doesn't require jingoism, just joy.

Toto closed with 16 songs that reminded everyone why Steve Lukather's crew remains the gold standard for musicianship. From the prog-rock complexity of "Child's Anthem" to Greg Phillinganes's keyboard wizardry on "I Won't Hold You Back," this was virtuosity in service of actual songs. "Rosanna" sparkled, "Hold the Line" rocked, and "Africa"—that generational anthem that somehow became bigger than the band itself—turned the amphitheater into a massive choir.

What elevated the evening beyond mere nostalgia was the obvious joy these musicians took in their craft. In an era of manufactured revivals, this felt authentic—three acts who helped soundtrack the early '80s, still passionate about the music that made them famous, still capable of making it feel urgent.

As "Africa's" final notes echoed into the humid Florida night, one thing was clear: this tour has serious magic to offer.
