On August 15, Tiffany brought “I Want My ’80s Back” to Kemistry Nightclub in Fort Lauderdale, with DJ Johnny Quest helping set the mood for an evening built around the joy of a great pop song.

Tiffany will always be linked to “I Think We’re Alone Now,” the hit that turned her into a teenage star. Nearly four decades later, its appeal is easy to understand. That chorus feels made for singing with other people, whether you first heard it at the mall, on the radio or long after its original release.

But Tiffany’s story has room for more than one song. “Could’ve Been” showed the strength behind her voice early on, and the years since have given her a perspective that makes an ’80s themed show more interesting than a simple trip down memory lane. The songs carry memories, but the woman singing them has lived a whole life beyond that first rush of fame.

Kemistry was a fitting setting for that connection. A nightclub gives pop music what it needs most: space to dance, sing along and briefly forget what time it is. DJ Johnny Quest added to the party spirit, making Tiffany’s appearance feel like part of a full evening out.

For fans who grew up with her music, the night offered a chance to revisit a familiar soundtrack. For everyone else, it was a reminder of why those melodies lasted. The best pop hooks don’t stay in one decade. They follow us home.
