The Offspring brought their fun, playful energy to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida last night.
The Northern California punk legends played a diverse set, spanning from their 1994 hit album smash all the way to 2024’s Supercharged.
The confetti cannons got a workout this show, popping off confetti and streamers several times throughout the set.
Inflatable skeleton busts flanked either side of the stage, ominously hovering over the band and providing a glowing backdrop, complete with smoke emanating from their mouths.
Stage banter between singer Dexter Holland and guitarist “Noodles” is always top tier. They joke around and take time to thank the audience.
But the most endearing part of the show is Noodles bragging on his friend’s accomplishments: Holland has a PhD in molecular biology, is a certified pilot and scuba diver, an entrepreneur with his own brand of hot sauces, and much more.
It’s a testament to their friendship enduring over decades.
Fan favorites like “Why Don’t You Get a Job? and “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)” made a late set appearance, with beach balls bounced into the audience and wacky waving inflatable fly guys, respectively.
Crowd reception was fantastic. I chatted with a couple of gentlemen before the show, and they asked me what to expect. I told them The Offspring are consistent players who bring their A-game to every performance. That they’re funny and entertaining, and the stage production is thoughtfully planned. They came up to me after the show and confirmed I was right.
The Offspring’s most massive hit, 1994’s “Self Esteem” ended their encore, finding the crowd on the floor in a circle pit, while others jumped up and down wildly pumping their fists.
Punk rockers were treated to a night of fun thanks to The Offspring!
