Glass Animals performed an electric set at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, last night.

Opening with "Life Itself" from 2016's How to Be a Human Being, the band immediately set the tone for the evening.

I don't consider myself a dancer, but I immediately found myself swaying to the groove of the music for the first time in a long time at a concert. It would remain that way for the duration of the concert.

Glass Animals' stage production was a thrill, with nods to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Carl Sagan.

I glanced at the sound and lighting booth at one point and noticed screens with green "DON'T PANIC" lettering on them.

The stage was decorated with moon rocks and a spacecraft control panel, with video visuals that transitioned from galactic themes to video gamescapes.

Vocalist Dave Bayley brings an energetic presence to his performance, dancing across the stage and connecting both with his bandmates and the audience. It's the kind of dynamic you'd expect from a front man playing to a small club, not an expansive and gorgeous venue like Hard Rock. From the top down, end to end he worked the crowd.

Guitarist Drew MacFarlane showcased his chops with artfully expressed solos, stepping forward to play to the people.

Edmund Irwin-Singer and Joe Seaward round out the rhythm section with finesse.

Though they're touring in support of 2024's I Love You So F***ing Much and the setlist reflected that, we were also treated to songs like "Youth" and "Gooey" from previous albums.

Following the band on social media, I already knew Dave made his way into the middle of each venue to perform "Gooey," the band's earliest hit. But seeing him up close in his element and engaging with excited fans around him was a real treat.

Glass Animals really know how to bring a vibe to the party, and everyone is invited!

The encore delivered Glass Animals' biggest song to date, "Heat Waves."

My fandom far predates this track, but it was an absolute pleasure to watch how well received it was by the crowd.

Dave stepped to the front of the stage and mouthed the word "WOW," in total gratitude and taking in the moment as voices soared across the venue.

A beautiful end to a very fun night.
