War rolled into Stage 954 like a vintage Cadillac that refuses to quit. Lonnie Jordan remained unstoppable Songkick, his voice weathered but unshakeable as the band navigated through "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends?" The intimate casino venue couldn't contain the soulful swagger—horns gleaming, percussion locked in tribal rhythms that made standing still impossible. At points, the decades melted away; War's Latin-funk fusion felt timeless, urgent, necessary. Sure, the lineup's evolved since the '70s heyday, but this wasn't a nostalgia act—it was a masterclass in groove architecture. South Florida got its Saturday night sanctified, one hypnotic bass line at a time.
