Slightly Stoopid brought its fun blend of reggae-rock fusion to the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on June 28th, transforming a sweltering South Florida evening into a sun-soaked celebration of good vibes and even better music. The San Diego duo's "Step Into The Sun Tour" stop proved that after two decades in the game, they've only gotten sharper.
Opening with "Niceness" alongside hip-hop legend Chali 2na, the band immediately established the collaborative spirit that would define the night. The Jurassic 5 veteran's appearances throughout the set—particularly on "Upside Down" and the explosive "Top of the World"—elevated already stellar tracks into transcendent moments.
Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald's seamless interplay anchored a 23-song journey through their catalog's greatest hits. "2 AM" and "Officer" showcased their signature blend of reggae rhythms and punk energy, while "Closer to the Sun" transformed the amphitheatre into a massive sing-along. Little Stranger's guest spot on "Somebody" added another layer of chemistry to an already electric performance.
The band's cover choices spoke to their influences and crowd-pleasing instincts. Their take on Sublime's "Slow Ride" felt like a natural progression, while closing with Snoop Dogg's "Young Wild & Free" sent the audience home with smiles as wide as the Florida sky.
