Mt. Joy brought two full sets and an encore to Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla.,April 9 and the Philadelphia five-piece leaned hard into their catalog's emotional range. "Is Joy Easy" opened things with a slow burn before "Sheep" and "Orange Blood" pulled the crowd into full voice. Matt Quinn tucked a sly Tom Petty nod into "Let Loose," and later stitched a Joe Cocker snippet into the title track, the kind of touch that rewarded longtime fans without over-explaining itself.

The night wasn't flawless. Technical trouble forced "Jenny Jenkins" into a stripped-down, unplugged detour, and the band adjusted without losing the room. "Highway Queen" and "Lucy" carried the back half, building toward a "Bathroom Light" into "Silver Lining" encore that sent everyone out humming.

Nearly two hours, thirteen songs deep before the encore even started, Mt. Joy proved why they've become one of the most reliable live acts in Americana-leaning rock. Hollywood got the full experience, glitches included.
