Sebastian Bach brought his A-game to The Casino at Dania Beach on October 31st, delivering a Halloween night performance that reminded South Florida exactly why he remains one of hard rock's most electrifying frontmen. Over the course of a 20-song marathon, Bach didn't just revisit glory days—he commanded them.
The evening kicked off with a trio of KISS deep cuts, an unexpected choice that immediately established Bach's intent to celebrate rock's lineage rather than simply cash nostalgia checks. "Strange Ways" and "Rocket Ride" were muscular and reverent, setting the stage for the Skid Row material that formed the set's backbone.
When Bach tore into "Slave to the Grind," the venue erupted. His voice—that stratospheric instrument that defined late-'80s metal—still possessed its trademark snarl and surprising range. "18 and Life" and "I Remember You" (cleverly woven with snippets of "I Won't Forget You" and "Love Song") weren't mere retreads but vital performances that honored the songs' emotional weight.
The setlist's adventurous spirit shone through covers of Ozzy's "I Don't Know" and an audacious medley spanning Black Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell" to Gordon Lightfoot's "Sundown"—a bold move that could have derailed momentum but instead showcased the band's versatility.
