South Florida received a special treat on Thursday, October 9th when Morgxn performed Carole King's Tapestry in its entirety! The evening began with The Symphony of the Americas accompanying actress and singer Amanda McGovern.

Conductor Luke Frazier intimated to the audience that because Morgxn was singing Carole King, he thought it would be fun for McGovern to sing songs written by men, including James Taylor. Her warm voice filled the room, orchestral notes wrapping around it.

After a brief stage reset, Morgxn took the stage. Dressed in a textured, glittery pink suit sporting a Tapestry t-shirt underneath, the singer's presence immediately draws you in.

Morgxn's vulnerability lends itself to the music and the performance. His vocal delivery is tender and powerful all at once: a testament to his dynamic range as an artist.

Encouraging the audience to sing along to treasured hits "I Feel the Earth Move," "It's Too Late," and "You've Got a Friend" made the experience even more intimate.

Morgxn shared how important Carole King's music was to his own journey as a singer-songwriter, and how Tapestry has always been present in his life.

The Symphony of the Americas masterfully played arrangements that beautifully showcased the music.

Stepping to the side during instrumental portions, Morgxn gave the musicians their moment to shine as well.

Introducing "Way Over Yonder," Frazier shared his choice to strip the piece down to resemble the way it might have been performed when he was a youth in church.

The result left the audience silent with anticipation and reverence, Morgxn's gorgeous vocals on full display.

Rounding out the evening with three of his original songs, the audience was treated to a performance of songs from his newest EPs HEARTLAND: PART I and HEARTLAND: PART II.

Experiencing the music of Carole King reimagined through the lens of Frazier and Symphony of the Americas was a truly special way to spend the evening.
