Against All Authority played a hometown show last night at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of their album 24-Hour Roadside Resistance, which they played in full, along with a handful of other tracks.

Danny Lore and Joe Koontz serve as dual vocalists for the band, also playing bass and guitar, respectively.

Relentless in their attack, the band came out swinging with fierce musical aggression. A circle pit quickly opened up, limbs swinging and skanking.

The horn section comprised of Emily Williams on saxophone and Marshall Wildey on trumpet came to play, giving a steady groove to compliment the energy.

The message of the lyrics in songs like "Pestilent Existence" and "Sweet Televised Destruction" hold up just as much in 2025 as they did in the early 00s.

Lore stopped down at one point during a song to thank everyone for coming, and supporting the band for so many years.

He and Koontz took to the mic on several occasions, joking that ICE would be waiting outside to take us away after the show. They also used their platform to speak out against defunding NPR and PBS to keep the masses uneducated.

To be clear, they're not all talk: the South Florida chapter of Punk Rock Saves Lives was set up next to the merch table, stocked with supplies and offering a sense of community.

AAA is everything punk rock should be: politically outspoken, DIY ethos, giving a voice to the underserved.

They played with a unmatched intensity that kept the crowd wanting more, fists pumping the air and shouting alongside them.

Seeing them live further solidified my love for the music and community I've grown up in.
